Rondewash Laundry is primarily a working professionals and student-based laundry service, but we also cater for Businesses like Bed&Breakfasts, Sports Organisations, Restaurants, Domestic and Household Services. Please view our full list of services here.
Your laundry will be in the capable hands of our trusted and experienced laundry pros.
Cleaning older items is always risky as fabric degrades with time and can be damaged during the cleaning process. Please inform us when you have older items in your laundry basket. This will allow us to advise you on the best cleaning process for these older items. In some cases, we may recommend not washing the items to protect against damage.
If you have any special washing instructions, please let us know when checking in your laundry basket. We’ll attach these instructions to your laundry basket. Your clothing is precious to us and we want to make sure we wash it correctly.
Wet underwear can get stuck in the drum of a washing machine, which can sometimes be difficult to detect. Underwear like bras for example can get damaged if the metal clip gets hooked onto the drum of the washing machine or dryer. Socks can also easily fall out of a washing basket. We have procedures in place to prevent items from getting lost, but if you want to be really safe, we do recommend using a wash-proof underwear bag for your smaller laundry items.
Rondewash Laundry provides laundry bags and detergents as part of our service. Your completed laundry will be neatly packaged in Rondewash-branded packaging, ready for collection.
First, your laundry load is weighted and a payment receipt is generated. This receipt includes your special wash instructions. We then sort your washing while separating colours and whites. Your laundry load is assigned a number for in-house tracking throughout the washing, drying and folding process. Finally, your laundry is neatly packaged, ready for your collection.
We encourage you to separate colours and whites to speed up the check-in process. Please also make sure that your socks are not balled up, and that there no clothes inside of clothes, such as two shirts that you took off together, or shorts and sweats that came off together. These oversights may prevent your clothes from getting their cleanest and may result in colour runs.
‘Together’ means everything get washed all at once. ‘Separate’ (also called ‘split wash’) is when we separate your light or white clothing from darker items and wash them separately. We highly encourage a split load as to protect colours from running and spoiling clothing.
Clothing is made from dyed cloth whether it is a natural fiber like cotton, linen or silk. Clothing dyes may run, coming out of the fabric fibers, and darker dyes can ruin lighter fabric, especially for new clothing items experiencing their first wash.
We make it our absolute priority to remove all stains that are found on your clothing but unfortunately some stains have become part of the fabric and are permanent. We will try more than once to remove it but constant attempts at working on the same spot can often lead to the garment fading or being destroyed. Please allow extra time for us to try remove tougher stains.
Yes, we are able to air dry your clothing. Please specify this with your order at the front desk when checking in your laundry basket, but keep in mind that this process will take longer than 24 hours due to the drying process, and we are not big fans of handing back damp clothing to our valued customers.
We are more than happy to accommodate special instructions. We can air dry, low heat dry, wash in delicate cycle, and wash separately. Let us know when checking in your laundry basket. Simply put a note in your laundry bag with specific instructions which we will read when sorting your laundry for the washing process. Please isolate the specific garments you want special care for – this will help us make sure we get the right ones. We may recommend dry cleaning certain items instead of machine washing them, according to the item’s wash instructions.
Please let us know when you are washing something for the first time. We will be happy to wash it separately. This will prevent colours from running on your other clothes.
We wash and dry all of our customers’ orders individually (never mixing customers’ laundry). To further ensure against any laundry mix-ups, and to maintain the highest service levels, we use a labelling system that follows each laundry basket as it moves through our laundry system from machine to machine. If you think something is missing, you can tell us and we will immediately investigate. All claims for missing clothes must please be made within three days of laundry delivery or we will not be liable.
Simple. That’s when our tumble dryer’s heating element is turned off, and only cold air is used to dry your laundry.
